Ein Konzert für die ganze Familie

The stage orchestra is one of the two large orchestral collectives at the Vienna State Opera and performs the so-called "stage music" in countless operatic works: the musicians are used when music is not needed in the pit, but on stage as part of the action.

In addition, it is also the orchestra in NEST and it is impossible to imagine this new house without it as the musical backbone. Reason enough to invite the members from the pit onto the stage: In various constellations, the musicians will create varied and exciting concert programs.

Music... that's amazement, that's adventure in the mind, that's participation, that's enchantment and enthusiasm. And: it's for the whole family! On April 25, brass players and percussionists from the stage orchestra will meet at NEST and present a colorful mix: fanfares and film music, opera sounds and much more are on the program. Musician and mediator Karin Meissl will moderate the event: How do individual instruments sound? How do they work together? What images arise in our heads? What does music do to us? For anyone who wants to get a taste of the world of music - or simply can't get enough of music!
