Alex Esposito
Alex Esposito, a native of Bergamo, studied piano, organ, and voice. Named Best Singer of the Year in 2006, he received the Premio Abbiati in 2007 and was appointed Bavarian Kammersänger in 2020.
He performs on the world’s most prestigious stages, including La Scala in Milan, the Metropolitan Opera in New York, La Fenice in Venice, the Vienna and Bavarian State Operas, the Deutsche Oper Berlin, the Royal Opera House Covent Garden in London, Teatro Real in Madrid, Palau de les Arts in Valencia, Theater an der Wien, and the Paris Opéra, as well as at the festivals in Salzburg, Pesaro, and Aix-en-Provence.
Recent engagements include his debut in Venice as Nick Shadow in The Rake’s Progress, Il barbiere di Siviglia at the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro, La cenerentola and Il turco in Italia in Munich, Le nozze di Figaro in London, at Theater an der Wien, and in Amsterdam, Don Giovanni in San Diego, Berlin, Munich, Venice, Tokyo, and Genoa, Die Zauberflöte in Venice, Munich, and Bari, Anna Bolena in Bergamo, Les Contes d’Hoffmann in Stuttgart, Lucrezia Borgia in Munich, Faust in Toulouse, L’elisir d’amore in Valencia, Der Freischütz at Theater an der Wien, and L’elisir d’amore at the Metropolitan Opera.
He made his debut at the Vienna State Opera in 2010.
