The American soprano singer ALEXANDRA LO BIANCO can refer to a large number of prizes and awards (for example first prize at the William Sullivan Foundation 2013, first prize in the Liederkranz singing competition 2011). She has for example triumphed in the title role of Turandot, as Leonora (Il trovatore), Cio-Cio-San (Madama Butterfly), Sieglinde (Die Walküre), Mutter (Hänsel und Gretel). Recently, she performed Donna Anna (Don Giovanni), Leonore (Fidelio), Minnie (La fanciulla del West), in the title role of Tosca, as Amelia (Un ballo in maschera), in the title role of Aida or as Magda Sorel (The Consul). Engagements not only lead her to opera houses in the USA (Seattle Opera, Madison Opera, New Jersey Opera, Tulsa Opera, Nashville Opera, Minnesota Opera), but repeatedly also to Europe. In some productions she was also engaged as ensemble singer at the New York Metropolitan Opera. In addition to her opera performances, she also appears as concert singer. Furthermore, she teaches with great devotion. She made her debut at the Wiener Staatsoper in May as Leonore in Beethoven´s Fidelio.
