Ana Garotić
Ana Garotić was born in 2000 in Belgrade, Serbia, and has been a member of the Vienna State Opera's Opera Studio since the 2024/25 season.
She made her operatic debut in 2023 as Micaëla in Carmen at the Oper im Steinbruch festival in St. Margarethen.
At the Vienna State Opera, she performed numerous roles during the 2024/25 season, including Senta in Das verfluchte Geisterschiff, Fortuna in Monteverdi’s Il ritorno d’Ulisse in patria, La Contessa di Ceprano in Verdi’s Rigoletto, Ines in Il Trovatore, and Berta in Rossini’s Il barbiere di Siviglia.
She has received artistic inspiration through masterclasses with Brigitte Fassbaender, Thomas Hampson, Étienne Dupuis, Michael Schade, Nicole Car, Helmut Deutsch, Brian Jagde, Gregory Kunde, and Kamal Khan.
Ana Garotić completed her bachelor’s degree at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (MDW) and is expected to complete her master’s degree in September 2025.
She is a prizewinner of the Ferruccio Tagliavini International Singing Competition and was a finalist in the Montserrat Caballé Competition.
