Andrea Carè
Tenor ANDREA CARÈ was born in Italy. He studied at Conservatorio di Torino and was taught, among others, by Luciano Pavarotti und Raina Kabaiwanska. In 2005, he won the Spoleto international competition for young opera singers. He made his debut as Pollione in Norma at Teatro Comunale di Bologna. Since then, he has performed as Pinkerton at Canadian Opera Company and at Teatro Real in Madrid, as Pollione in Barcelona and in Bordeaux, as Don José at Royal Opera House Covent Garden in London, at Opera Queensland and at Teatro Real in Madrid, as Don Carlo at Bolshoi Theatre Moscow, in Strasbourg and at Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía in Valencia, as Enzo Grimaldo in La gioconda in Beijing, as Loris Ipanov (Fedora) in Stockholm, as Radames in Brussels, as Cavaradossi at Teatro Regio di Parma and at Michigan Opera Theatre. The tenor is currently performing or scheduled to perform at Finnish National Opera and Ballet in Helsinki (as Cavaradossi), Royal Swedish Opera in Stockholm (as Radames and as Rodolfo) and in Brussels, as Enzo Grimaldo.
