CARLO LEPORE comes from Naples and completed his studies in singing in Rome and Vienna. Today, he stands on almost all big opera houses and at the most important festivals, like in Milan, Turin, Rome, Palermo, Salzburg, Dresden, Cologne, Geneva, Zurich, Monte Carlo, London, Paris, Liège, Savonlinna, Houston, Buenos Aires. His Rossini-roles include Mustafà (L’italiana in Algeri), Selim (Il turco in Italia), Basilio and Bartolo, Don Magnifico, Faraone (Mosè in Egitto) as well as Ginardo (Matilde di Shabran). His Donizetti-repertoire includes among others Don Pasquale, Dulcamara, his Puccini-Repertoire Colline, Gianni Schicchi and Geronte, his Verdi-Repertoire Melitone, Sparafucile and the lead in Falstaff, his Mozart-Repertoire Komtur, Leporello as well as Bartolo and also Rodolfo (La sonnambula) as well as Monteverdi’s Seneca (L’incoronazione di Poppea) and Bass-roles in several Händel-Operas. A highlight is his involvement in Carlos Sauras film Io, Komtur und Don Magnifico in the production of Cenerentola from Andrea Anderman broadcast by Rai Uno. projects in the current season include La cenerentola in Buenos Aires, Don Giovanni in Turin, L’italiana in Algeri in Liège and Il barbiere di Siviglia in Paris.
