Felix Pacher

The Viennese bass Felix Pacher can be heard from the current season onward in the children’s opera Musketiere! at the NEST. As early as 2022 he made his debut here in the title role of Ludger Vollmer’s youth opera Tschick – an interpretation for which he was awarded the Stella23 Prize of ASSITEJ Austria in 2023 for outstanding acting performance.

His most recent engagements include his debut at the Bayreuth Festival as the Third Noble in Lohengrin under Christian Thielemann, as well as successful roles such as Don Alfonso in Mozart’s Così fan tutte at the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb and at the Vienna Musikverein in Bach’s Easter Oratorio. In the past season, Pacher appeared as Masetto (Don Giovanni) at Opernsommer Wien Belvedere, as Daland in the children’s version of Wagner’s The Flying Dutchman at the Vienna State Opera, and as Masetto and the Commendatore (Don Giovanni) with the Montenegrin Symphony Orchestra.

Pacher is also a regular presence on the concert stage. His repertoire includes central works of sacred music, among them Handel’s Messiah, Haydn’s Creation, Mozart’s Requiem and the role of Jesus in Bach’s St Matthew Passion.

Felix Pacher completed his bachelor’s degree at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna and is currently continuing his master’s studies there in the classes of KS Angelika Kirchschlager and Jörg Schneider.
