Florentina Serles
Austrian mezzo-soprano Florentina Serles was born in Vienna in 2003. In her childhood she took ballet, jazz dance, show dance, and violin lessons. As a member of the Performing Youth Company (Performing Center Austria), she played leading roles in various youth musicals between 2017 and 2020 and was nominated for a Papageno Award in the category of Leading Role in 2019.
In 2018, she began classical voice training with KS Annely Peebo at the J.G. Albrechtsberger Music School Klosterneuburg. She is currently studying voice at the University of Mozarteum Salzburg with Bernd Valentin (with Barbara Bonney until 2022). There, she has already performed roles such as Nancy in Albert Herring, Hänsel in Hänsel and Gretel, and one of the Apprentices in Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg at the Landestheater Linz.
In 2023, she won the International Cross Over Competition in the opera category.
Florentina Serles has been a member of the Studio of the Vienna State Opera since the 2024/25 season. At the Vienna State Opera, she sang the role of DU in the children's opera Sagt der Walfisch zum Thunfisch (The Whale Says to the Tuna) in 2024.
In the 2025/26 season her roles include Javotte in Manon, Flora Bervoix in La Traviata, 1st Squire in Parsifal and Cenerentola in NEST Project Opera, Animated: Cinderella.
