Jeni Houser
Young soprano JENI HOUSER came second in the 2014 Nicholas Loren competition. She has won the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions and made it to the semifinals of the NATS Artist Award competition. She sang Najade (Ariadne auf Naxos) at Glimmerglass Festival, and at Madison Opera she performed as Olympia (Les Contes d’Hoffmann), Johanna Baker (Sweeney Todd) and Amy (Little Women). At Minnesota Opera, she sang Zerbinetta and Najade (Ariadne auf Naxos), Mrs. Grady (The Shining), Queen of the Night (The Magic Flute), Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro) and La charmeuse (Thaïs); at Lyric Opera of Chicago Queen of the Night, Olympia, and Frasquita in Carmen; at Odyssey Opera Boston Cecily Cardew (The Importance of Being Earnest); at Berkshire Opera Festival Najade; at Austin Opera Zerbinetta; at Central City Opera Queen of the Night. She has sung in Carmina Burana with the Las Vegas Philharmonic. Jeni Houser is scheduled to perform at Kentucky Opera in Louisville (Queen of the Night), Madison Opera (Anne Egerman in A Little Night Music) and Dallas Opera.
