Joseph Kaiser
JOSEPH KAISER is winner of the Operalia competition and was awarded the Robert Jacobson Memorial Scholarship of the George London Foundation as well as other prizes. Among his current performances are roles the leading role in Peter Grimes at the Theater an der Wien, the leading role in Oedipus Rex at the Festival in Aix-en-Provence, the leading role in Werther at the Boston Lyric Opera, Matteo (Arabella) at the Bayerischen Staatsoper. In recent years, one could have heard him among others, as Lenski (Eugen Onegin), Matteo and Flamand (Capriccio) at the Paris Opera, Narraboth (Salome) and Tamino (Die Zauberflöte) at the ROH Covent Garden London, Števa (Jenufa) and Don Ottavio (Don Giovanni) in Munich, Admète (Alceste) in Aix-en-Provence. At the New York Metropolitan Opera, he has already sung a large number of leading roles, among others Roméo in Roméo et Juliette and Tamino. Other north american engagements include Walter ub Weinberg’s The Passenger in Houston, Jonas in Saariahos Adriana Mater in Santa Fe, Pylade (Iphigénie en Tauride) at the Canadian Opera Company, the lead in Faust at the Lyric Opera Chicago. At the Wiener Staatsoper, he gave his debut in 2012 as Admète.
