Kate Lindsey
The mezzo-soprano Kate Lindsey combines vocal excellence with dramatic intensity and is regularly invited to perform at the world’s leading opera houses and festivals, including the Metropolitan Opera, the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, the Vienna and Bavarian State Operas, the Salzburg Festival, the Glyndebourne Festival, and the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence.
In the 2025/26 season, Kate Lindsey once again demonstrates her versatility with a number of role debuts and new productions. She opens her season with a highly anticipated debut as Mélisande in Pelléas et Mélisande at the Vienna State Opera under the baton of Alain Altinoglu.
At the Hamburg State Opera, she appears in a new production by Tobias Kratzer, performing Schumann’s Frauenliebe und Leben under the musical direction of Karina Canellakis.
She also takes on the title role in Gluck’s Iphigénie en Tauride at the Washington Concert Opera and returns to the Bavarian State Opera as Cherubino in Le nozze di Figaro.
Kate Lindsey made her debut at the Vienna State Opera in 2014.
