Matteo Falcier
Tenor MATTEO FALCIER studied at the Conservatory in Milan as well as the Accademia Teatro alla Scala and made his opera debut as Alfredo in 2007. First performances led him to Germany, Austria and Norway. Performances at the Teatro Regio in Turin, in Sassari, at the Teatro Donizetti in Bergamo, at the Festival della Valle d’Itria, in Pavia, Brescia, Ravenna, Lucca and Jesi followed. Recent engagements will lead Matteo Falcier to Lucca, Piacenza, Savona, Ferrara, Ancona, to the Savonlinna Festival as well as to festivals in Ravenna and Oviedo (the latter under the direction of Riccardo Muti) as Bardolfo (Falstaff), as Pong to Novara, as Andres/Cochenille/Frantz/Pittichinaccio to Pavia, Jesi, Cremona, Brescia and Como, as Basilio (Le nozze di Figaro), Francesco (Benvenuto Cellini), and Rinuccio (Gianni Schicchi) to the Roman Opera, as Rodolfo (La Bohème) to Cremona, Como and Pavia and as Basilio to the Spoleto Festival 2016. Further roles of his repertoire include Paolino (Il matrimonio segreto), Dorvil (La scala di seta), Flavio (Norma), Riccardo (Ernani), Arturo (Lucia di Lammermoor), Marchese (La Cecchina).
