Patrick C. Delcroix received his training at the Centre International de Danse Rosella Hightower in Cannes and at the École de Danse Colette Soriano in Orthez. In 1982 he joined the Iwanson Dance Company in Munich, further engagements led him to the Scapino Ballet Rotterdam and the Nederlands Dans Theater The Hague, where he danced from 1986 to 2003 under the direction of Jiří Kylián. During these 17 years with NDT he worked intensively with choreographers such as Nacho Duato, Mats Ek, William Forsythe, Jiří Kylián, Edouard Lock, Hans van Manen and Ohad Naharin. After gaining his first experiences as a choreographer at the NDT’s annual workshops, Jiří Kylián invited him to choreograph for the three ensembles of the Nederlands Dans Theater. For the Vienna State Opera Ballet he created »Silence sans reproche« in 2003. Today Patrick C. Delcroix regularly rehearses Kylián’s works with companies such as the Royal Danish Ballet, Boston Ballet, Bern Ballet, Prague National Theatre Ballet, Kobe Ballet, Georgian National Ballet, Dresden Semper Opera Ballet, Ballet de l’Opéra du Rhin and Ballet de l’Opéra de Paris. In 2001 he was appointed Chevalier dans l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres.
