Vladislav Sulimsky

Belarus-born baritone VLADISLAV SULIMSKY won the first prize at the international Rimsky-Korsakov Competition St. Petersburg in 2002. In 2004 he became a soloist of the Mariinsky Theatre, where he sang title roles in Eugene Onegin, Simon Boccanegra, Rigoletto, Macbeth and Gianni Schicchi, as well as Posa, Ankarström and Don Carlos (La forza del destino), Ford, Belcore, Enrico, Andrei Bolkonsky (War and Peace). In 2012 he made his debut in Malmö in Luisa Miller and has since sung in Stockholm (Ankarström), Baden-Baden (Posa), Theater an der Wien (Kurlyatev in Tchaikovsky’s Charodeyka), Helsinki (Marcello), Basel (Macbeth), Ravenna Festival (Macbeth), Edinburgh Festival (Alberich in Rheingold), Posa (Bolshoi Theatre). He also performed in Paris, Madrid, Turino and Berlin. Recent performances include Tomsky (Pique Dame) at Stuttgarter Oper and Salzburg Festival, Mazeppa at Oviedo Opera, Rigoletto at St Margarethen Festival, Giorgio Germont at Dallas Opera, Luna at Berliner Staatsoper and Rangoni in Amsterdam.
