Yoonsuh Regina Joung

Yoonsuh Regina Joung was born in Seoul, South Korea. She began her ballet training at Julia Ballet Academy and continued her education at Sunhwa Arts Middle and High School, graduating in 2024. During this time, she gained stage experience as a member of the Universal Ballet Junior Company, performing in productions such as Swan Lake, Paquita and La Bayadère.
Her many accomplishments include the Gold Medal at the Korea International Ballet Competition (2022) and the Seoul Ballet Competition (2023). In 2024, she was a finalist in the YAGP New York Finals, which resulted in an invitation to study at the Dutch National Ballet Academy in Amsterdam. There, she pursued an associate degree in Classical Ballet, graduating in 2025.
While studying in Amsterdam, she performed in works such as Sir Kenneth MacMillan’s Concerto, Jiří Kylián’s Whereabouts Unknown and Mthuthuzeli November’s Power.
Yoonsuh Regina Joung joined the Youth Company of the Ballet Academy of the Vienna State Opera as of the 2025/26 season.
